A Little More Inspiration

“There are Christians whose lives seem like Lent without Easter. I realize of course that joy is not expressed the same way at all times in life, especially at moments of great difficulty. Joy adapts and changes, but it always endures, even as a flicker of light born of our personal certainty that, when everything is said and done, we are infinitely loved.”
— Pope Francis, Apostalic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium, November 2013

Beloved, grant that we may each know in the depths of our heart that we are infinitely loved. Amen.

Lent without Easter, wow wow wow. What else can I say. Yes that is what happens, My husband used to ask me all the time what the big deal was with Easter? I would give the right answers knowing that somewhere in that pile of knowing would come some joy, and yet it is often still too allusive too gigantic to hold.

Simple everyday joy should be celebrated as little moments of resurrection, times that will offer us a way to see the bigger JOY the one too much for us to grasp.
